Who We Are
Gacan-Qabad Humanitarian Aid and Development Organization (GHADO) is a non-political, non-profit humanitarian and development organization working to save lives, promote self-reliance, and uphold human dignity across Somalia.
Since 2019, GHADO has implemented over 80+ emergency and development projects serving vulnerable women, children, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Northern East and Puntland States.
In line with its mission, GHADO has endeavored to support communities to address the myriads of threats and risks to food and livelihood security by facilitating the implementation of an integrated livelihood support and resilience program. The organization works towards harnessing unrealized economic potential, unutilized indigenous resources and knowledge responsive to community needs and priorities.
